Early Summer Hemp Seed Parmesan

This stuff is good on everything! I love it on the Early Summer Socca, pasta (of course!), roasted vegetables, salads, sandwiches, sprinkled onto soups and stews…the list goes on! Anywhere you’d sprinkle parmesan cheese, you can use the hemp seed version. Along with a slew of stress-busting b-vitamins from the nutritional yeast, you’ll be giving your body essential omega fats, that are unprocessed and deeply nourishing on a cellular level. 

You can also play around with flavour additions here: chili powder or cayenne makes a deliciously spicy topping, or use fennel seeds, dried herbs like basil, oregano, thyme, or parsley. Let your imagination run wild and the hero seed parmesan flow!

Early Summer Hemp Seed Parmesan

Ingredients

  • 1 cup / 150g hemp seeds
  • 1 cup / 40g nutritional yeast
  • 1 tsp. fine salt
  • ¼ tsp. garlic powder

Directions

  • Place all ingredients in a food processor and pulse-blend until the ingredients are thoroughly combined and the consistency is uniform. Taste and adjust seasoning to suit your taste.
  • Use immediately, and store any leftovers in an airtight glass container in the fridge for up to one month.
