Toasted Seeds

A simple technique to add flavor, texture, and nutrition to any meal, toasting your seeds makes their nutrients more bioavailable and more delicious! Try making tahini, pumpkin seed butter, or simple toppings for your meals.

Toasted Seeds



  • Heat a dry skillet over medium-high heat. Fill skillet with a single layer of seeds (work in batches if needed).
  • Once you hear the seeds popping stir / shake the pan until they are evenly toasted to your liking. Stay close by as they can burn quickly! The time this takes will depend on what seeds you are toasting.
  • Remove from heat, let cool, and store for use on everything from salads, smoothies, soups, porridge, and more!
