Okay, I know what you’re thinking: a HOT smoothie?! My gut reaction was the same: isn’t that kind of wrong? Well baby, if this morning treat is wrong I don’t wanna be right! It’s creamy, it’s dreamy, it’s a golden milk miracle that becomes a meal worth waking up for!
If you’re not into bananas, try a pear, or add some other fruit that you dig (you can also leave it out all together). I added some of my favorite protein powder to make it more substantial but this is optional. I use just-boiled water in my version but you can also use warmed plant-based milk if you’d like too! I hope you enjoy this indulgent sip as much as I do, and that you’re just as shocked at how delicious it truly is!
Golden Milk Hot Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 ripe banana
- 2 dates, pitted
- 1 small chunk of fresh ginger, to taste
- 1 Tbsp. nut / seed butter of choice
- ½ Tbsp. golden milk mix
- 1 scoop vanilla / unflavoured plant-based protein powder
- 1 cup / 250ml just-boiled water or warmed plant-based milk
- pinch sea salt
Directions
- Place all ingredients in the blender and blend on high until smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning as desired.
- Sprinkle with a touch of cinnamon, say thank you, and indulge!
