After trying a rather unpalatable detox tea I picked up a local health food shop, I was inspired to make my own blend that I would actually enjoy drinking – otherwise, what’s the point?! This combination of liquorice, nettle, peppermint, and dandelion is refreshing, even a little sweet, and can be enjoyed hot or cold. It’s tasty over ice on a summer day!
The compounds present in this herbal blend work synergistically to help transport toxins out of the body, soothe inflammation, promote bowel regularity, and flush the liver. It is important (whenever possible) to purchase dried herbs from a renowned supplier whose products are fresh and pesticide free or certified organic.
