Here’s a nourishing, super simple winter smoothie – Ginger Mint Pear! I highly recommend freezing the pears first, since they act the same way bananas do and get super creamy when you blend them! If you don’t have fresh mint, mint extract is fine to use here. Feel free to change up the flavours by using lime juice or mixing up the greens. Kale and romaine are my favourites!
Ginger Mint Pear Smoothie
Ingredients
- 2 ripe pears, chopped and frozen if possible
- 1 ripe avocado, flesh scooped out
- 1½ cups / 35g firmly packed baby spinach
- 1 cup / 250ml water
- 2 tsp. minced ginger
- 1½ Tbsp. freshly-squeezed lemon juice
- 10-20 fresh mint leaves (to taste) or a couple drops peppermint extract
Directions
- Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth, enjoy!
