Rhubarb is the saviour of sanity – one of the first edibles to poke through the thawing earth come spring.
I’m always filled with delight and gratitude to have its fresh, tartness in my kitchen, marking the cycle of a new year of eating! Their vibrant, magenta hue always reminds me of the magic in nature.
I photographed these stalks on both dark and light backgrounds, as I couldn’t choose which one I liked more. You can decide for yourself, or print both to use in a diptych.
